Common questions and asked prior to procedures are below with answers. If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact me.
Medications to avoid before injections
Avoid taking any non prescribed aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and any other blood thinners for two weeks prior to your appointment, unless otherwise instructed by your physician.
Can I drink alcohol before receiving aesthetic injections?
It is best to avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours before your appointment. Alcohol can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising.
Can I lay flat after neurotoxin injections?
It is recommended not to lie flat for four hours following your injection.
What activities can I do after neurotoxin injections?
While there is no downtime after Botox/Jeuveau, you must avoid rubbing your face, exercising for 24 hours, and other forms of strenuous activities. A more detailed list will be provided.
How long until I see results?
Each person is different. Some may notice improvements in facial muscles as early as 36 hours following treatment. However, 14-21 days is the most ideal time to assess treatment effectiveness.
What to expect during and immediately following dermal fillers
Pre-treatment numbing medication is available to help with comfort. A distraction device is available to be used near injection sites to provide additional comfort. Mild tenderness can be expected post procedure. Gentle massage to the treated area may cause some additional tenderness and redness. Bruising may occur from the procedure. Post procedural swelling may be expected. Lumps or bumps may also be present at the first few days after treatment. Over the course of 14 days, the product will continue to soften and settle. More information will be available and provided during the appointment.

Pre-Treatment: Stay hydrated for ease of blood draw, begin hydration 72 hours before treatment. Avoid Medications: such as blood thinners and anti-inflamatory drugs (NSAIDS) Do not consume: Alcoholic beverages for at least 24 Hrs. prior. Avoid eating: A high triglyceride diet. Avoid Smoking: POST-TREATMENT CARE Avoid applying ice: or any cold compresses to the treatment area. Do Not Touch: or massage the treatment areas. Swelling is normal: for several days. Ask your healthcare Provider: Before taking any medications such as ibuprofen or aspirin.
